We spent 4 days with Arun touring Dehli, Agra and Jaipur and would highly recommend him. At first he was very quiet and reserved but by the 2nd day he was laughing with us. We (mostly me) asked thousands of questions along the way and he was very patient answering them all even when I asked “stupid” questions (Are the goats pets?). We were so sad at the airport when we left for the next leg of our journey because we were going to miss our wonderful driver, guide and friend. Thank you Arun for making our journey so special and showing us and teaching us about Northern India. We wish you and your family the very best and hope to someday see you again.

This is a 5-star ***** review for Arun, the taxi driver. I used his services three times when I was in Delhi in Dec ’15 & Jan 16; he is reliable, courteous, knowledgeable, interesting to talk to …………….. and he has a fantastic moustache!

A chaque voyage en inde je fais appel à ARUN qui est trés professionnel et surtout trés attachant. Total sentiment de sécurité malgré la conduite des indiens qui est disons différente de la notre européen. Je recommande sans hésitation.

Une quinzaine de jours passée avec Arun à sillonner le Rajasthan et la région autour de Delhi, et une très grande satisfaction.

Outre ses qualités de « chauffeur » (conduite toujours prudente, pas de klaxon intempestif (contrairement à beaucoup), …), c’est surtout avec lui une réelle rencontre. Une personne pleine de valeurs, une personne touchante, qui fait le maximum pour que tout se passe bien et qui accorde une très grande importance au fait que les touristes avec qui il passe quelques jours repartent avec le meilleur souvenir possible de son pays.

Avec Arun, aucune crainte d’être poussé vers tel ou tel magasin, hôtel, restaurant…, ce qui est rapidement assez usant avec bon nombre de chauffeurs de taxis ou de tuk-tuk. Lui, il dit qu’il ne fait pas ça, et il ne le fait pas. Et c’est rare !

Pour autant, et seulement si on le lui demande, il est de très bon conseil. Il connaît très bien toute la partie Nord de son pays. Il peut vous conseiller aussi bien pour les restaurants en fonction de vos goûts, pour les hôtels en fonction du standing voulu, pour les sites à visiter… Au bout d’un moment, j’ai préféré laissé de côté le Routard et je l’ai écouté lui, et je n’étais pas déçu. Et vraiment sans aucun sentiment de se sentir « obligé » de suivre ses recommandations. On se sent au contraire toujours libre de ses choix avec lui.

Bref, ma rencontre avec Arun est vraiment quelque chose qui a marqué mon voyage en Inde. Ça n’aurait tout simplement pas été le même voyage sans ça : partager le déjeuner tous les jours, profiter des longues heures de trajet pour échanger sur nos modes de vie respectifs et apprendre beaucoup de choses sur lui, sa famille, et la façon de vivre en Inde, s’arrêter pour boire ensemble un lassi sur le bord de la route…

Ça a été vraiment pour moi une vraie rencontre humaine, et un très bon souvenir que je garde de mon voyage.

Et si un jour je repasse en Inde, je le rappelle, c’est certain !

Si vous cherchez un chauffeur privé pour visiter le nord de l’Inde, il vous sera difficile de trouver mieux qu’ Arun.
Arun est chauffeur-guide exceptionnel de par ses qualités personnelles, de sa connaissance de la l’Inde du nord, et des coutumes de son pays.
En tant que chauffeur, il conduit très prudemment et est très attentionné quant au confort des passagers (passages de bosses, mauvais revêtements) ainsi qu’à la propreté de son véhicule qu’il nettoie tous les soirs. Il est toujours à l’heure à tous les rendez-vous, quelle que soit l’heure.
Modeste, en plus d’être chauffeur il fait de fait le guide pour vous montrer des points de vue hors circuit touristique, il vous conseillera sur le sens et les horaires les plus judicieux pour les visites des sites. Il vous amènera dans les restaurants répondant à vos goûts. Son anglais oral est de niveau très satisfaisant pour comprendre ce que l’on lui demande et pour satisfaire votre curiosité sur le pays et ses habitants.
Arun est une personne attachante, toujours discrète, et très attentif à vous. Il se chargera, si vous lui demandez, de tous soucis matériels (réservations de spectacle, restaurants, hôtels, activités diverses etc …)
Nous ne pouvons que recommander Arun. Vous ne regretterez pas votre choix. Pour nous, c’est un bonheur d’avoir fait sa connaissance et d’avoir visiter le Rajasthan avec lui en mars 2015.

Look no further, Arun is the best driver in India! I am an Australian female in my mid 20’s who traveled through North India with a girlfriend, we were given Arun’s name through a friend of a friend and booked not knowing too much about him. THANK GOD WE DID! We spent 9 days with Arun, driving through Delhi, Jaipur, Pushka, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bundi and Agra, he started off as a polite and sweet driver and turned into a dear friend we were sad to leave. Getting ripped off and taken advantage unfortunately comes with being a western tourist in India, traveling with Arun we felt safe and taken care of. He knew all of the best places to eat, sleep and visit, and gave great advise to make sure we were not ripped off, over charged or taken advantage of. If you want local inside knowledge, a hassle free experience and a genuine, trustworthy guide to take you through India I could not recommend Arun highly enough. WE LOVE YOU ARUN! Sarah & Sarah

We just came back from India and during our trip we spent 2 weeks with Arun traveling in Rajhastan, Madyah Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Arun is very professionnal, absolutely no question about that : always on time, drives safely, knows very well the cities and the small shortcuts, car is clean and confortable … I could tell a lot more about that but I also would like to underline that we really enjoyed our time with Arun.

We spent hours discussing together, we learnt many things about India and its culture thanks to him, he showed us wonderful sites and always gave us good advices. We had very good moments together and we will remember them for a long time !

Next time we go to India, we will book Arun before we book our flight 😉

Nous avons voyagé avec Arun début septembre pendant 10 jours à travers le Rajasthan. Super séjour, Arun est adorable, attentif, patient et a toujours des anecdotes et des bons conseils à donner. Il nous a été très précieux pendant ce voyage et les échanges ont été très riches, nous avons appris beaucoup de choses sur l’Inde. Arun nous a également fait découvrir des beaux sites, hors des sentiers battus. On le recommande absolument !!

We were introduced to Arun by our Airbnb host on our first day in Delhi. Since we only had 3 days in Delhi, it was recommended that we hire a driver to take us around. After getting cheated by cab drivers in Mumbai, I was a little hesitant at first but I am so so glad we went with Arun!! Not only is he a careful, knowledgable driver, he is just a wonderful, genuine person.

We spent our first day in New Delhi, visiting 4-5 “must-see” places. Arun was always willing to take us to all the places we wished to go to and he even made suggestions along the way. Whenever he felt we needed a guide, he walked with us! Walking through some crazy bazaars and traffic we realized we probably wouldn’t have found our destinations without his help.

The second day, he drove us to Agra (3-4 hr drive) to see the Taj and Agra Fort. He had suggested we also visit Baby Taj but we ran out of time due to our souvenir shopping spree 🙁 which was a bummer. Btw, the Taj is AMAZING. The long drive there and back was comfortable and relaxing.

The third day he drove us to the Old Delhi bazaar where he again walked with us through the crazy maze of organized mess. We also visited a few sights around there and Arun managed to fit in a visit to the Akshardham temple (highly recommended) before we had to leave for our flight back to Mumbai. Oh important to note, Arun is ALWAYS on time. So if you are on a super tight schedule, he is someone you can trust.

Throughout our 3-day journey with Arun in Delhi, we learned a few things about him that make him the best driver you can have in an unfamiliar, sometimes unsafe environment (we are two girls in our late 20s so safety is always a factor). He is not the kind of person who charms customers with sleazy calculative smiles for bloated fees or commissions (trust me we’ve met so many), he is a simply kind-hearted, hardworking, super humble person making honest money for him and his family. His top priority is making sure he meets his customers’ needs and ensuring they have a hassle-free, pleasant experience in North India. He can be chatty when you’re in the mood and I sensed that with us, he was considerate and careful to let us rest when we needed.

Arun, thank you for all you’ve done for us. You made our trip easy and memorable!! Will make sure to contact you when we go back!! Until then, wishing you all the best!!
